John is Executive Vice President, Director of Commercial Banking for Salin Bank. In his position, John oversees Salin Bank’s community presidents and commercial bankers in a network of 23 branches across Indiana. He also is responsible for commercial and business deposits, loans and customer experience.
John’s experience within the banking industry includes business development, operations and commercial lending. Most recently, John served as Senior Vice President of PNC Financial Services. Prior to that, John held several senior-level roles with regional and national banks, as well as the position of president.
John has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. Is a past President of the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership, served as a Board member of the United Way of La Porte County, and as Co-Chair of the Hendricks County United Way fund raising campaign. John is active in his local Rotary club.

When she’s not representing the bank in and around the community, Linda is personally involved with the Rotary Club, the Economic Development Board, and the Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County.
Michelle Cox E-mail: m.cox@salin.com Michelle supports clients and prospects in Carroll County. She assists businesses and farmers with a variety of banking services, primarily credit and leasing. She works closely with her team members to provide local customer service and strong business expertise. Michelle volunteers for numerous local organizations, including the Flora Rotary Club, the Flora Community Club, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and the Carroll County YMCA among many others.
Joseph Howarth E-mail: j.howarth@salin.com Joe is a 30+ year veteran of the banking industry and is well experienced in commercial banking, operations and management. After beginning his banking career in retail and commercial lending, he served in leadership roles for four banks in Indianapolis and Michigan. Joe has also served in senior management positions with private and public companies. The Howarth family name is well known within banking in the Lafayette community and contiguous county markets with over sixty years of service. Joe graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He serves on the Family Selection Committee of Habitat for Humanity.
Robert Massey E-mail: b.massey@salin.com Bob provides leadership for Salin Bank’s operations in Howard, Cass and the surrounding counties. He also supports Salin Bank clients with a special emphasis on establishing and managing business lending and deposit relationships. He works closely with his team to provide local customers with responsive service, business expertise, and cutting-edge product offerings from across the organization. Prior to joining Salin in 1991, Bob worked as Vice President for a large regional bank. Tim Miller E-mail: t.miller@salin.com Tim Miller has more than a dozen years of commercial banking experience—most recently at National City Bank, where he was a senior vice president, middle-market relationship manager. He served as group leader in Fort Wayne and was responsible for supporting more than 40 middle market clients with more than $100 million in loans. Tim received his undergraduate degree in finance at Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio) and received a Masters of Business Administration from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, Michigan) where he graduated Cum Laude. His community involvement includes work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana and the Autumn Ridge Homeowners Association. Miller, his wife Michele and their two children live in Fort Wayne.
Bradford Stanfield E-mail: b.stanfield@salin.com Brad helps companies in the Fort Wayne and Allen County area secure business loans, in addition to other banking products and services. Before joining the Salin team in 2005, Brad served as a Vice President of Investment Real Estate and Vice President of Commercial Lending for two large regional banks. Katie Smardo E-mail: k.smardo@salin.com Katie manages the development and delivery of treasury management services to Salin Bank’s business clients. In tune with the market, and most importantly with the needs of the client, Katie structures services that are competitive and create operational efficiency and strong cash flow management. Community involvement is important to Katie, and she serves in a leadership capacity as current member and Past President of the Rotary Club/Kokomo Early Risers and serves on the Committee for the Carmel Chamber Arrows Young Professionals. Katie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Purdue University.
Gordon Castetter E-mail: g.castetter@salin.com Gordon Castetter has more than 22 years broad-based transaction experience in banking and corporate finance. He is responsible for managing commercial banking activities while developing new business relationships for the bank’s Indianapolis market. His strong background in commercial banking gives him unique experience in supporting central Indiana’s diverse business environment. His experience helps him serve clients in the areas of strategic advisory, and capital structuring in an array of industries. Gordon has a Bachelor of Science and MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is active with the Venture Club of Indiana, the Commercial Finance Association, the Indiana Association for Corporate Growth, and the Indiana Association for Corporate Renewal. Laura Demeter E-mail: l.demeter@salin.com Salin Bank understands the needs of government, not-for-profit and healthcare organizations are far different from those in other sectors. Laura focuses exclusively on those needs. She is responsible for managing bank-wide government, not-for-profit and health care relationships. Laura works to provide innovative, competitive deposit and cash management solutions structured to meet the unique needs of this financial sector. Away from the office, Laura is an active volunteer and member of the North Central High School Band Parent Organization and PTO and a member of the Indianapolis Rotary Club. Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Indiana University.
Laura Haynes E-mail: l.haynes@salin.com Laura has worked in the commercial banking arena for more than 20 years. She has extensive experience and expertise in all facets of lending including middle market, small business, asset-based and floorplan lending. Before advancing to the commercial banking team, Laura was a commercial loan officer and credit analyst at several local and regional banks.
Outside the banking center, Laura keeps active in her community, serving various organizations including Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, PTA, where she serves as Committee Chairman and previous Treasurer and is listed as one of the Outstanding Young Woman of America. She also serves as Treasurer and past President of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA).
She is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Mathematics.
Justin Libey E-mail: j.libey@salin.com Justin serves his clients financial needs in Northeast Indiana as well as developing new banking relationships. Prior to coming to Salin Bank & Trust Company in 2006, Justin worked for a large national lending company as a credit manager. As Vice President and Business Development Officer, Justin provides efficient solutions for individuals and small businesses. He generates new opportunities for the bank in areas of wealth management, personal and business financing, and deposit growth. Justin has the flexibility to solve customers' banking needs quickly and with a personal touch. He takes great pride when people refer to him as "my banker." When he is not serving his banking clients, Justin is an active member of the Anthony Wayne Rotary Club and Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana. Justin received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from Manchester College.
Erica Puck E-mail: e.puck@salin.com Erica is responsible for business banking clients throughout central Indiana. Erica’s responsibilities include meeting local business owners and others to develop lending and cash management solutions to support the financial needs of local small businesses. Erica strives to provide the most outstanding customer service to her existing clientele while working to increase lending and deposit growth in the Indianapolis region. Active throughout the community, Erica is a member of IndyCrew and a Meals on Wheels and Junior Achievement Volunteer. Erica holds an MBA from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management from Grand Valley State University.
Lea Kelley E-mail: l.kelley@salin.com Lea has worked in retail and business banking for more than nine years. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Retail Management. Lea is actively involved in the community and has supported a number of non-profit and charitable organizations. Prior to joining Salin, Lea worked with small businesses at two large regional banks. She also worked for two companies giving her insight into the special challenges of small and mid-size businesses. Lea’s primarily responsibility will be meeting local business owners, corporate executives, middle market entrepreneurs, and others to ascertain the financial needs of local small businesses. She will also focus on developing new client relationships, and act as a client liaison to other banking departments.
Jonathan Elkins E-mail: j.elkins@salin.com Jonathan Elkins is the Business Development Officer for the Lafayette Region. Jonathan’s main role as a Business Development Officer is to create new business relationships and work with existing business clients to ensure their financial success. He meets with local business owners, corporate executives, middle market entrepreneurs, and others to ascertain the financial needs of local small businesses. Jonathan is active in the community through several organizations including: the Daybreak Rotary of Jonathan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University.
Karen Turner E-mail: k.turner@salin.com Karen Turner is Salin Bank’s Business Development officer for the Marion Region where she focuses on helping local business leaders with their financial needs. On a daily basis, Karen meets with local business owners, corporate executives, middle market entrepreneurs, and others to ascertain the financial needs of local small businesses. Karen has been in the banking industry for more than 28 years, including 16 years with a large national bank and 12 years with a regional bank. She is actively involved in the community and has supported a number of non-profit and charitable organizations. She is a board member for Habitat of Humanity and the Grant County Growth Council. She is also a member of the Rotary Club. top |
